Description
A beautiful Queen Butterfly flying around a garden in Wimberley, Texas. There were many Queens in the garden on a early fall day in 2021. The Queen butterfly (Danaus gilippus) is just slightly smaller than the Monarch. The Queen is an orange-brown color with white spots and black borders.
The Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia) is a warm weather annual featuring showy daisy flowers, up to 3 in. across in shades of orange and yellow.
