Description
Photo taken inside the bar area of the famous post office/general store/bar in Luckenbach, Texas. Everyone should make a trip out to this wonderful place at least once in their lifetime. Luckenbach is a very small town located 13 miles from Fredericksburg, TX.
Its oldest building is a combination general store and saloon reputedly opened in 1849 (1886 is more likely, based on land improvement records of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission) by Minna Engel, whose father was an itinerant minister from Germany.
Luckenbach is known for it's roots in country music.
