This photo was taken at the HOPE Outdoor Gallery on Baylor Street in Austin, Texas in October, 2017. Artists come here to paint on anything available - walls, ground, pipes, foliage, trash cans, etc.

This educational project is managed by the non-profit HOPE Events and was officially launched in March 2011 with the help of contemporary artist Shepard Fairey. It is the only paint park of its kind in the USA and was developed to provide muralists, street artists, arts education classes and community groups the opportunity to display large scale art pieces driven by inspirational, positive & educational messaging.

It’s been the site of dozens of marriage proposals and countless music videos, baby announcements and family portraits. But now the gallery on Baylor Street is moving to a new location. Construction of the new, expanded 6-acre art park is expected to begin in early 2018 and wrap up by the end of the year.

Hello, thanks for stopping by! I am a photographer from southeast Texas but I also enjoy creating what I call photoart or mixed media digital art. I love to travel so nature, landscapes, and cityscapes are very common in my photography. I have always enjoyed crafts and creating so taking my photos into photoshop and enhancing them into painterly images or fantasy collages is where I can explore and use those creative skills.
