Description
Carolina Chickadee - All This For Me? Well, actually no. See I usually have a bird feeder hanging in my back yard, but the local squirrels have discovered it and keep trying to get into the feeder. So I bought some critter feed (mostly corn kernels) and put some along the fence. This little Chickadee had other ideas!
Very similar to the Black-capped Chickadee, this bird replaces it in the southeastern states. Living in milder climates, it has been reported to be less of a visitor to bird feeders, but it does come into suburban yards for sunflower seeds. However, I do see these birds at my feeder here in SE Texas. They usually fly in quickly, grab a bite and fly away just as quick!
