Description
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Emily Morgan Hotel was originally built as a Medical center, in original Gothic style by Ralph Cameron in 1924. The most peculiar aspect of the building design has to be the terra cotta gargoyles that line the walls of this unique building, each one depicting a different ailment.
The Emily Morgan Hotel is well renowned as one of the most haunted hotels in Texas, and is one of, if not the, most haunted location in San Antonio. During its time as a medical facility, some of the floors were used as a psychiatric facility. Guests and staff have witnessed many strange things on these floors throughout the years, as well as throughout the hotel.
